The Making of 6 1/2 Pieces

Every year in Whistler, for the last 8 or so, is the B-Grade Horror Festival. It's where anyone one with a camera and a basic story line can submit there short film for all to see. Some are good, some are bad and some are fricken amazing. It plays the day before halloween, everyone dresses up, 1000 people come to watch blood, sex, violence and increasingly creative ways to show it. Last years winner, Conrad Schapansky, asked me to come and shoot some behind-the-scenes pics during the making of his, this year. It was really cool to snap all the aspects of a bunch of friends make a sick and twisted film, in one day. Unfortunately, I passed out before the blood and guts were finished. So I put together this image sequence of "Half of the Making of 6 1/2 Pieces". The original films has just been voted best film of the year, by Pique News Magazine, In Whis. Congrats C-Rad!

Agent 000, License to Party

Casino Royale: Held every September, in Whistler, during Cornucopia. I was asked to be a "floater" and get some shots from around the party. No problem. I like to party and tonight I have a license to do so. A James Bond theme, there was gambling, showgirls, open bar (including Champage and Patron), open buffet (with chocolate fountain), Bond girls, DJs, acrobats, ice sculptures, a violinist and everyone looking super fine. A little obsessed with shooting time-lapse, I let the shutter fly while the action spun into a frothing salad of elation topped with overall HOTNESS. Please enjoy responsibly.

Open Studios Party Lapse

I stopped by the re-opened Open Studios, last weekend to check out what Ben and the boys were up to. I was able to buzz around snapping away during Vincent Lemieux's set and peak over Ben's shoulder as he laid down some dynomite visuals a la Bent Matter... as the people kept flowing in... dancing up a storm. It was great to see some friends, before I had to go, unfortunately missing the head-liner, The Mole from Montreal. The place looked and sounded awesome. Get some!
